Jackson Rodriguez is the current title holder of America's Pokemon Champion. He's a 32 year old man of Mexican ancestry who is very committed to his new role as a role model for young Mexican American pokemon trainers. He has held the title for two years now which he has spent circling the nation to speak at public schools, primarily elementary schools, about the importance of perseverance in achieving one's dreams. The American media pays a lot of attention to his movements and he receives both love and hate from the public for various reasons ranging from his devotion to children, his loud nature, his focus on Mexican schools, and his many tattoos. In the past two years, whenever he was met with hatred from the public, he frequently responded that Pokemon Champions are permitted to focus their support, their time, money and efforts, to whatever movements they wish, so long as they do not spread hate or violence, and that he's not interested in anyone's approval of those areas of the country that he chooses to focus on. He strongly believes that it is the duty of every person in the public eye to focus on whatever they can to improve the lives of others, and he makes no apologies for the choices he makes. Because of his strong response to the hate, those against him have been relegated to nothing more than quiet whispers or online complaints that rarely reach him anymore.

Isaac King is a force to be reckoned with as the first member of America's Elite Four. He's unusually young, only 23, and unfortunately this brings him a lot of negative attention. Many Americans believe his place in the Elite Four was only a fluke against 44 year old Noah Turner the year before. Turner was a fairy type Elite Four member who held the position for the last six years before King took his place with his poison team. A disgruntled Turner left the Elite Four to retire early, leaving a young King to prove himself to the other members and the rest of America. He's a rambunctious new member who hasn't yet devoted himself to any major charity events or movements, leaving much of America unsure of what to think of him. So far, only two of the other Elite Four members have vouched for him, leaving the second Elite Four member undecided thus far.

Steel type expert Sophie Sanchez is the second member of the Elite four for America. She is 45 years old and is an incredibly stern woman. Previously a business woman in the practice of making steel frames for stained glass works, she began to connect with steel type pokemon and began her career as a pokemon trainer. Twelve years later she found her way to becoming America's second Elite Four Member and has held the title for the past five years.

America's sweetheart is definitely the third Elite Four member, Sydney Wood. At 29 years old, she is a prodigy when it comes to training dragon type pokemon. It is even rumored that she uses a psychic type pokemon off of her main team in order to communicate with her dragons! Wood moved to America as a young child when her mother decided to leave their home country of Australia for change when Wood's father died. She claims to have seen Giratina through her plane window on her way to America and believed it to be a sign to train dragon types upon her arrival. She has devoted her life to training dragon type pokemon ever since, and believes Giratina to be her guardian angel in her endeavors.

Sixty eight year old Landon Scott is the final member of America's Elite Four team and he is a grass type specialist. Previously having been a park ranger, he began to reconsider his life path and began taking on gym leaders, unsure of exactly where he wanted to go next. On his path, he began to realize his love for grass type pokemon and began to set his eyes on being an Elite Four member. He has held the position for a whopping 12 years now! He has stated that he's happy to retire whenever someone worthy challenges him, but so far no one's been aside from the current Pokemon Champion, Jackson Rodriguez, who, despite the large age difference, has become close friends with Scott.

America's Entrance Exams start in March or April depending on what part of the country you're in. Regionals start in May and go through early September with the Elite Four challenges taking place in late September. Pokemon trainers all over the country are currently taking or studying for their Entrance Exams and the rest of the country is greatly looking forward to seeing promising new trainers at the Regionals.
